A team of officers and personnel of the 3rd Royal Artillery Regiment (RAR) from the Kamunting Camp in Taiping has been mobilised for the task of Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) implementation at the Sitiawan subdistrict (mukim) in Manjung district since May 29 till June 11.
The assignment is aimed to assist the Manjung District Police Headquarters (IPD) as the responsible authority of the area.
Headquarters 2nd Malaysian Infantry Division in a statement said that the assignment involved six roadblocks and the installation of barbed wire at the area, led by the commander of B Battery 3rd Royal Artillery Regiment last Tuesday.
“The team of 3rd RAR will continue to help perform surveillance at assigned areas in the effort to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission.
“Besides that, the assignment is also in line with the Army Commander’s Order of the Day which is to promote the relationship of the army with the people,” the statement added.
