TM Unifi Mobile and Celcom users in Seberang Perak, Central Perak will be experiencing network disruption due to the collapse of a TM tower on Sunday, June 13.
Based on a statement released by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the incident was caused by heavy downpour and strong wind at 4pm on the same day.
“TM and Celcom share the same tower, hence resulting in service disruption to both Celcom and Unifi customers.
“However, MCMC has instructed the service providers to immediately conduct maintenance repair and overhaul,” the statement mentioned.
According to MCMC, the first step is to deploy a Mobile Base Transceiver Station (MBTS) at the scene to provide service, as well as to restore the network by this Friday, June 18.
