Accident at Sungai Bogak, One Victim Reported

An accident involving two vehicles and a victim occurred along a road at Sungai Bogak in Bagan Serai, Perak, earlier today (July 1).

According to a spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), an emergency call was received at around 2.48pm.

“A squad from the Bagan Serai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) was immediately dispatched to the location of the incident.

“Upon arrival, a four-wheel-drive Toyota Hilux was found to have collided with a three-tonne lorry.

“The 43-year-old victim, who is the car driver, was stuck in his seat, having injuries sustained on his face, legs and hands. The lorry driver was unscathed. 

“The squad proceeded to free the trapped victim using a power unit and rescue tools. He was handed over to on-site health staff for further actions,” the spokesperson explained.

The operation which ended at around 3.30pm was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Saini Manas.
