The Ministry of Education in a statement informed that the home-based teaching and learning (PdPR) sessions will be extended till August 31.

According to the statement, the Ministry is also always in close collaboration with the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) to ensure that the vaccination rate among school staff is increased.

“As of July 16, a total of 253,366 people or 61.30% of teachers and administrators, as well as 10,876 people (46.33%) of support staff have received at least one dose of vaccine.

“The decision to continue PdPR till the end of August and to begin face-to-face school sessions in September in phases is made by taking the vaccination rate into consideration,” the statement added.
