The federal government gazetted an extension to the order cited as the Declaration of Infected Local Areas under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).
The order was signed by Health Minister Dato’ Sri Dr Adham Baba and it is to be further extended from 2 August 2021 to 31 December 2021.
In other words, it enables the implementation of enhanced movement control orders (EMCO) when necessary, in localities with high COVID-19 infections, until the end of the year.
To date, the latest announcement on EMCO pertaining to Perak was made on July 25 which stated that the four Kampungs (villages) below in Ulu Selama Subdistrict (Mukim) of Larut, Matang & Selama District are placed under EMCO effective July 27 till August 9:

- Kg Teluk Mas
- Kg Garok
- Kg Tapah
