Ipoh Police Probes Into Gangsterism Claims 

A special investigation unit has been established by the police force of Ipoh to probe into claims regarding gangsterism by a Facebook user which has gone viral.

According to the Ipoh District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan, the allegation was posted by user “Meganathan Nathan” yesterday (August 1).

“The police are looking into this matter seriously. As such, we thank the informant for the details.

“However, we’d like to advise members of the public to refrain from disclosing personal information and lodging complaints online for the sake of safety.

“Instead, please forward any information and/or complaints to the District Control Centre (DCC), or contact Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) at 05 254 2222 and email to kpdipoh@rmp.gov.my

“Those with updates pertaining to criminal activities in the city may also send an email to the chief of Criminal Investigation Division via kbsjdipoh@rmp.gov.my.

“Fret not, their details will be kept confidential,” he explained in a statement dated today (August 2).
