Two Houses Caught Fire

Residents of two houses in Kampung Dato’ Ahmad Said Tambahan 2 were scared out of their wits when the houses caught fire this morning (August 13). 

A spokesperson for the Perak Fire and Rescue Department said a call regarding the incident was received at around 11.45am.

He said a team of personnel with machinery from the Meru Raya Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were dispatched to the scene.

“Upon arrival, the fire was found to have involved two B-class terrace houses, with around 70 percent of the houses damaged.

“The fire was extinguished using water from fire hydrants,” the spokesperson said.

The extinguishing work was also assisted by personnel with machinery from BBP Simpang Pulai, BBP Pasir Puteh, as well as bomba volunteers from Pekan Baru and Menglembu.

The operation was led by Senior Fire Officer II (PBK II) Mohd Zaid Abd Aziz.
