Malaysian’s Struggle Against COVID-19 to End in Victory

Together, as a Malaysian Family, the people are urged to stay motivated in freeing the country from the COVID-19 pandemic, economic turmoil and political instability.

This is because the challenges currently faced have never been experienced by any previous leader and government, including those from other countries, especially in terms of how they affect the economy and politics.

The Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob urged all, as one Malaysian Family, to immediately get vaccinated as a national recovery initiative as it has been proven to have a positive impact.

“In conjunction with this Independence Day, we must fight against the COVID-19 pandemic as the foremost enemy.

“Success in this will pave the way for the country’s economic recovery in a new norm,” he said when delivering his speech in conjunction with the 64th National Day celebration on television last night (August 30).

The Prime Minister also stressed that through the full cooperation of all parties, the war against the COVID-19 pandemic will end in victory.

In the meantime, on behalf of the entire Malaysian Family, he expressed his gratitude to the many national figures who have left us.

“We strive to carry on the spirit of togetherness shown by Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, Tun Hussein Onn, Tun Dr. Ismail Rahman, Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Tun H.S. Lee and Tun V.T. Sambanthan.

“This also includes the spirit of unity shown by figures from Sabah and Sarawak such as Tun Datu Mustapha, Tun Muhammad Fuad Stephens, Tun Abdul Rahman Ya’kub and Tun Temenggong Jugah on the formation of Malaysia,” he said.
