Mydin Supermarket Closed for Sanitisation Work

The Mydin supermarket in Manjoi has been instructed by the authorities to close temporarily for disinfection work following a positive COVID-19 case at the premises.

The work will be carried out by the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) Perak.

Mydin Supermarket said in a statement that a comprehensive disinfection and sanitisation procedure was carried out yesterday (September 16).

The statement explained that the procedure was initiated after receiving advice from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

“The individual involved is currently being treated while close contacts have been identified and quarantined with the help of the MOH.

“Information on the date and time of operation of Mydin Manjoi will be informed later after obtaining permission from the MOH.”

According to the statement, Mydin Supermarket always prioritises the health and safety of staff and the local community to prevent COVID-19 infection.
