Perak to Transition into Phase 3 Effective October 18

Perak is to transition into Phase 3 of the National Recovery Plan effective October 18 as announced by Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob via his official Facebook page.

“We are moving forward. There will be no more states under Phase 2. Those going back to their hometown, I pray for the safety of all. Let us enjoy this achievement by taking care of one another,” he stated.

The Prime Minister also announced several relaxations:

  • Taxi and e-hailing service is permitted at full capacity beginning October 16.
  • Cyber cafes and centres are allowed to operate at a capacity of 80% for Phase 3 states effective October 17.
  • Face-to-face Meeting, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) are allowed at states under Phase 3 for fully vaccinated individuals effective October 18.
  • Observation and surveillance period for travellers from out of the country is reduced to 7 days at home or a quarantine station for fully vaccinated travellers, while 10 days at a quarantine station for travellers with incomplete or without vaccination. Effective October 18.
  • Observation and surveillance period for close contacts is reduced to 7 days at home for those fully vaccinated and 10 days at home for those with incomplete or without vaccination. Effective October 18.
  • Rest and service areas (R&R) are allowed to operate for 24 hours effective October 16.
