Six Students of MRSM SAS Kuala Kangsar Tested Positive for COVID-19 

Six Form 5 students of Maktab Rendah Sains Mara Sultan Azlan Shah (MRSM SAS) Kuala Kangsar were reported to be COVID-19-positive and the matter has been confirmed by its principal via a statement today.

“It is informed that there are positive COVID-19 cases among students involving six Form 5 pupils.

“The other Form 5 students have undergone screening tests and thankfully all are negative.

“All students are constantly reminded to abide by all SOPs.”

MRSM SAS appealed to parents to provide full support to the management in handling the situation collectively.

It is understood that presently, further action is being taken by the personnel of the Kuala Kangsar District Health Office.

Meanwhile, the Executive Councillor for Health, Science and Environment, Mohd. Akmal Kamarudin said in a media statement that his party has taken note of the reported case.

“I take note of the report that there are positive cases among MRSM SAS Kuala Kangsar students involving the previously reported Jalan Kuala Kangsar Gerik Cluster.

“I urge all parties to always be on alert and maximise public self control,” he added.
