A flash flood occurred at Taman Cempaka last night, causing some areas to be inundated by waters 0.6 metres high.
Spokesperson of State Fire and Rescue Department Operations Centre in a statement explained that the department received a call regarding the incident at 9.07pm.
According to the spokesperson, a team of personnel with machinery from Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station was sent to the location to provide aid.
“Upon arrival at the site, it was found that a flash flood had occurred, with the water level rising up to 0.6 metres.
“The firemen conducted monitoring. The water eventually receded and no affected victims were transported.”
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Saiful Habtur ended fully at 10.57pm.
