The Haven All Suite Resort Ipoh, which is renowned for its natural yet luxurious environment, is serving more than 50 dishes for Ramadan beginning April 4 till 29.
With the theme ‘Nostalgia Balik Kampung’, its traditional menus highlight nostalgic favourites of Malay heritage.
Executive Chef of The Haven, Shamsul Azham said that in order to ensure the food quality, every dish is prepared using only fresh and nutritious ingredients without the use of additives or MSG.
“Itik Salai Lemak Cili Padi (smoked duck curry with coconut and bird’s eye chilli) and Sup Gearbox (bone marrow soup) are among the favourites every year. Kambing Paratal and Daging Panggang Air Asam are also well-loved for its meat that’s marinated for 48 hours with spices imported from India.
“The menu buffet will change every day to offer a variety of tastes. We also feature five stalls offering Arabic dishes, barbequed items, noodles, fried snacks and soup. Besides that, there are 25 main dishes and 30 types of appetisers as well as dessert.
“Other menus include Gulai Ikan Masin, Nangka Muda Masak Lemak, Kari Kepala Ikan Bendi, Kambing Peratal, Ayam Masak Merah, Daging Panggang Air Asam, Sotong Tumis Saleri, Udang Sambal Petai, Nasi Hujan Panas, Bubur Lambuk, Bubur Pulut Hitam and more.”
The Ramadan buffet at Cuisines Restaurant and its surroundings can accommodate about 300 visitors at a time. Prayer facilities are provided with an Imam on site.
The buffet is priced at RM105++ (RM121.80 nett) for adults and RM85++ (RM98.60 nett) for children aged 6 to 12 years and senior citizens. Kids under the age of 6 are not charged, however it is limited to two kids with two adults.
The management also offers an early bird rate of RM85++ (RM98.60 nett) for adults and RM70++ (RM81.20 nett) for children and senior citizens.
