RM4.5 Million Worth of Drugs Seized in Perak

Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN), in collaboration with Perak JSJN, successfully busted a drug distributor syndicate around Perak on March 21.

Perak Police Chief, Dato’ Pahlawan Mior Faridalathrash bin Wahid today (March 24) held a media conference at the premises of Perak Contingent Police Headquarters regarding the operation which saw RM4.5 million worth of drugs seized.

According to the statement on the Facebook page of the Perak Police, eight local males aged between 32 to 37 years were successfully detained. The police also seized drugs of methamphetamine (syabu), heroin and ketamine estimated worth RM4,482,975.

All suspects are remanded for seven days beginning March 22 till 28 and the case is investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

Also confiscated were cash, three pieces of jewellery and five vehicles estimated worth RM212,712.00. The overall value of drugs and assets seized was worth RM4,695,687.00.
