No More Rotation System for Primary Schools

The Ministry of Education has decided that there will be no more rotation system for primary schools nationwide beginning April 17.

Senior Education Minister, Datuk Dr. Radzi Jidin via a Facebook video informed that the decision was made after observing the face-to-face school session which has been going smoothly for primary schools since March 21.

“It is vital that students and teachers abide by the set standard operating procedures (SOPs),” he advised.

“Although we are moving into the transition phase to endemic, we still need to retain the SOPs especially when all students attend school without rotation in the future.”

He urged parents to always remind their children to comply with SOPs as a priority.

The Ministry of Education previously set students of Standard 3, 4 and 5 to attend school on rotation especially for schools with more than 600 students.

As for primary schools with a total number of students below 600, all students including those of private schools are to attend school without rotation.
