Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin @ Md Daud stated that the establishment of Pincer Studio Sdn Bhd will provide a learning hub and open job opportunities besides making Ipoh an art city.

According to him, the Ipoh City Council (MBI) has taken charge of PINCER Studio and is currently in the process of reviving its ability to generate the economy of arts and culture in Ipoh.

“To ensure the operation of PINCER Studio is at an optimum level, the appointed organisation is made up of industry players and experienced management.

“I am confident that PINCER Studio will be a one-stop centre for art enthusiasts locally and internationally. This is because the creative industry comprises various artistic elements which contribute to a progressive city of art.

“PINCER Studio will begin operation in the middle of this year. However, the premises need to undergo several repair phases before it can be used. The equipment will be upgraded as well,” stated Rumaizi who is also the Chairperson of PINCER Studio after his recent visit there.
