Manjung Municipal Council’s myPATIL Application Attracts Interest of Other Local Authorities

The digital licensing system, myPATIL, which is used by the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM), attracted the interest of other local authorities (PBT) for information sharing.

Developed by local technology experts, myPATIL is based on smart technology and Internet of Things (IoT).

MPM has collaborated with Gates IT Solution Sdn Bhd since September 1 to implement myPATIL.

It replaced the existing licence paper and board at all business premises and integrated a portable application to facilitate more efficient enforcement.

Recently, the Pontian Municipal Council (MPPn) of Johor visited MPM to understand more on the use of the smart application.

MPM via a statement on Facebook informed that the visit was led by the Secretary of MPPn, Hisyamudin Amat and representatives from the Information Technology Division, Licensing and Enforcement Department as well as Valuation and Property Services Department.

The main objectives of the visit were to share information and obtain exposure on the implementation of myPATIL by MPM.

“They are welcomed by the Yang Dipertua of MPM, Syamsul Azman Mohd Salleh who then provided a briefing on myPATIL.

“After the briefing, the group is brought on a technical tour.

MPM is the first local authority in the country to implement a digital or online licensing system fully and comprehensively.

Via the installation of the myPATIL device since November 8, a total of 8,800 business licences have been registered digitally.
