Nooriah Mohamed Idris, 82, only has her daughter to care for her. However, her daughter, Noor Fadilah Osman, 51, is a person with disability (OKU).

The plight of these two have caught the eye of Ipoh City Council Chief Whip, Dato’ Mazlan Abdul Rahman.

While visiting Nooriah’s house, he decided to take immediate action by sending her to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“Nooriah’s condition is so bad that she is unable to walk or take care of herself.

“Her daughter was also taken to the hospital to treat a head injury due to an accident at their house.

“The condition of their house is disheartening, and on top of that, wild ducks and chickens can be seen roaming through their home.

Mazlan said that the case was referred to the Department of Social Welfare and that the department would take appropriate action to alleviate the burden borne by this family.
