A Light Plane Crashed on Jalan Dr Nazrin Shah, Medan Gopeng

A light aircraft crashed on Jalan Dr Nazrin Shah near Medan Gopeng. There were two victims, one of whom reportedly died from the incident.

The police confirmed the identity of the victim who died as flight instructor, Fajim Juffa Mohd Mustafa Kamal, 52.

The incident is believed to have happened around 8pm while the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 8.10pm last night.

The accident also caused congestion at the scene.

The two victims were said to be trapped before the rescue work was carried out by the fire department.

The Perak state JBPM said in a statement that the rescue operation was carried out by a team of the Ipoh Fire and Rescue Station who were deployed to the scene of the incident.

The injured victim was rushed to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) for treatment while the deceased was also taken to the same hospital for further action.

The ill-fated aircraft is registered to a flight training center, BAT Aviation, which is located near Sultan Azlan Shah Airport. This airline is headquartered in Desa Seri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.
