Perak Entrepreneurs To Bring Products To Singapore

A total of eight Perak entrepreneurs have the opportunity to bring their products to Expo Malaysia Fest 2022 in Changi, Singapore which will take place from August 25 to 28.

Among the companies involved are Syilis Food Manufacturing Sdn. Bhd, Nab Food Industries, Shahrinie Food Industries, Delcasis Group Sdn. Bhd, Che Din Food Industries, Royal Rendang, Leo Snack & Nuts Industry and Jamilah Mansor Enterprise (M) Sdn Bhd.

Chairman of Rural Development, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Dato’ Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin said the entrepreneurs were selected based on their ability and production capacity.

According to him, the participation of these entrepreneurs is in line with the focus of the programme in addition to bringing the image of Perak products to the Singapore market.

“The Perak state government through the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP) in collaboration with the Perak State Federal Agricultural Marketing Board (FAMA) has agreed to sponsor part of the cost of the involvement of Perak entrepreneurs.

“For 2022 , we are targeting sales amounting to RM80,000 with potential sales of at least RM1 million to be realised,” he said.

He said this while speaking at the release of Perak products as a representative of the Perak Chief Minister, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad at Hotel Casuarina@Meru last Monday.

Present with the Deputy Secretary to the Government (Development were, Halizah Sipun; Perak State FAMA Director, Norsham Ramly and Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat Director, Mohamad Roslan Mohamad Razalli.

Also present were the Perak State Director of Agriculture, Norsiyenti Othman and the Chief Executive Officer of the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (SADC), Yahanis Yahya.

This is also a focus that has been outlined under the flagship programme of the Prosperous Perak Plan 2030, which aims to increase entrepreneurial involvement at the district level.

Apart from Perak, the other states involved are Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Sabah, Terengganu and Sarawak.
