MBI: E-waste Programme With Lucky Draw Prizes Worth RM43,000

Ipohites can exchange their unwanted electrical appliances and electronics at home for money at the 6th series of e-waste collection by MBI for the month of October.

This programme will be held on October 15 and 16 (Saturday and Sunday).

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) in a statement informed that the collection period will be from 8am till 1pm.

According to the statement, the e-waste programme is held monthly on the Saturday and Sunday of the third week till November 30.

“Members of the public are welcome to bring their e-waste such as laptops, computers, handphones, refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines and others.

“However, the exchange does not include used lamps and used batteries.

“To increase public participation and as an appreciation to all participants, the MBI in collaboration with Edsha Solutions Sdn Bhd is offering lucky draw prizes worth RM10,000 to be won.

“In addition, participants who bring e-waste to the contractor will receive a cash token according to set prices.

At the same time, participants also can join the lucky draw by the Department of Environment (JAS) with prizes worth RM33,000 at state-level.
