Rumah Perakku II helps B40 to own their own houses

The launch of 117 units of Rumah PerakKu II, Phase 1B – Melur, priced at RM140,000 each in Simpang Pulai, can give more opportunities for people to own their own homes.

State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Exco, Dato’ Nolee Ashilin binti Dato’ Mohammed Radzi said, the project developed by Naluri Majujaya Sdn Bhd, a joint venture company between MB Inc and M K Land will be another avenue for the state government to help the people.

“With the launch of the project, it can help the people, especially those with a household income of RM4,850 and below, to have their own homes that are not only affordable but also of good quality.

“We will continue to implement quality affordable housing projects like this through joint ventures with developer companies such as M K Land,” she said.

She said this when she was met at the Key Handover Ceremony of 137 units of Low Cost 2-storey Terrace House PerakKu I – Kenanga and also the recent launch of the project.

Also present were the Executive Chairman of MK Land Holdings Berhad, Felina Mustapha Kamal; Chief Executive Officer of MK Land Holdings Berhad, Datuk Faris Yahaya and Chief Executive Officer of LPHP, Mohamed Akmal Dahalan.

Nolee added that M K Land through its venture with the Perak Menteri Besar Corporation (MB Inc) succeeded in proving that they are very sensitive to the pulse and heart of the people in helping the state government provide affordable homes for people from the B40 group.

Meanwhile, Faris said, a total of 56 units of Rumah PerakKu II which was launched recently were sold out within two hours of its launch.

“For Rumah PerakKu, the cost is low to moderate and affordable, priced at RM70,000, RM90,000 and RM140,000.

“With a maximum financing period of 35 years and an estimated loan interest rate of 3.8 percent, the eligible salary for the application is estimated at RM1,776 to RM2,554 per month.

“It involves a monthly payment between RM388 and RM777 that the B40 group can afford,” she said.

She said, both parties will work together in developing this project and target the area around Simpang Pulai as a ‘New Growth Centre’ area for the city of Ipoh.

Previously, M K Land proved that despite difficulties during the Movement Control Order (MCO) and Enhanced Movement Control Order (MCO), they were able to complete 137 units of low-cost terrace houses according to the new schedule.
