by Rosli Mansor

All political parties contesting in the 15th general election (GE15) in Perak must comply with all conditions set during campaigning, including not to install campaign materials that may disturb road users.

Perak Police Chief, Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said, the rules involve the installation of flags, hangings, posters, advertisements or any campaign material.

It is to ensure that it does not cause trouble or increase the risk of accidents.

“We ask the competing political parties not to hang all campaign materials in places and areas that could interfere with the driving of road users.

“Therefore, the Perak police asked the party officials concerned to immediately take appropriate action by pulling out and moving the campaign materials that were hung in inappropriate places,” he said in a statement today.

So far two police reports have been received regarding the installation of campaign materials that could endanger road users.
