With the aim of bringing globally recognized and affordable accreditation closer to home, Kompas International College (KIC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) at their campus recently.
Kompas International College (KIC) is located at Level 2 & 3 of Ipoh Garden Square, Ipoh Garden South. This is the new façade of KIC since its relocation from Jalan Ali Pitchai in 2019 and is now managed by a new team under Shen Jai Education Group (SJEG). In addition, the sister college of KIC, namely Shen Jai TVET College (SJTC) which is located within the same location, runs 4 skill-based programmes under Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM).
Since the relocation of KIC with a new image, the accredited home-grown Diploma of Accounting (DIA) is a great offering under the School of Accounting & Finance (SoAF).
This diploma offers students vital knowledge and skills in this field while preparing them for the advancement to pursue their professional qualifications in the future.
The event was attended by secondary school counsellors and students from all over Perak.

Andrew Lim, the Portfolio Head of ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia stated that Kompas DIA students will now be able to earn 2 diplomas at the same time: The Diploma in Accounting from Kompas International College and the Diploma in Accounting and Business from ACCA.
“With this Diploma in Accounting and Business, those who continue on their path to earning the ACCA Qualification will enjoy exemptions from 3 papers; Business and Technology, Management Accounting and Financial Accounting – which are treated as equivalent to the papers covered under the Diploma in Accounting from Kompas International College. This offers students an accelerated pathway to achieve their ACCA professional qualification within only 2 years.”
In addition, by earning an additional diploma from ACCA whilst pursuing their Diploma in Accounting at KIC is an added advantage to the students who are planning on seeking job vacancies in those relevant industries.
