Machinery and fibre equipment were destroyed in a fire incident at a plastic processing factory near Pasir Puteh, today.
According to Senior Fire Officer II Shahrizala Abu Hanafiah, his party received a call regarding the incident at 7.38 am before members of the Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with the assistance of the Ipoh BBP rushed to the location.
“The fire involved machinery and fibre equipment that burned inside a plastic processing factory.
“The estimated destruction is about 20 per cent, the incident however did not involve any victims,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
He said the members then put out the fire by using a stream from a hose reel until it was completely successful.
The operation ended completely at 8.27 am.
