The free Health Camp conducted at Gopeng Highland Resort here targets the local Orang Asli.

The chairman of the state Housing and Local Government Committee, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching said this after visiting the camp yesterday.

“Thank you to the College of Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgeons, Academy of Medicine of Malaysia (CORLAMM) and Klinik Kesihatan Gopeng who have worked together to make this meaningful programme a success,” she said through her Facebook here.

Sandrea said the Ministry of Health had conducted the Orang Asli Health Survey (OAHS) last year to plan more effective policies and services for the aboriginal community.

“Hopefully, continued efforts from the government as well as the private sector and NGOs, will help improve the health level of all communities,” she said.
