MBI has distributed a total of 46,656 trash cans from April 2021 to December 2022

IPOH: IPOH- Residents of Taman Klebang Putra today, received free trash cans from the Ipoh City Council (MBI) in conjunction with the Cultivation of Clean Environment Practices Program.

A total of 1,485 units of garbage bins have been distributed involving 7 trucks at Padang Taman Klebang Putra (Jalan Putra 1C).

The mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin@ Md Daud said the implementation of the program aims to improve the quality of a clean and sustainable environment.

“Through this effort, we can realize our desire to make Ipoh the Cleanest City in Malaysia in 2023.

“However, this program had to be postponed for several months due to the Covid-19 pandemic and continued again in February 2022 until now. Starting from April 2021 to December 2022, a total of 46,656 bins have been distributed to the citizens of Ipoh.

“We also want to ensure that the culture of hygiene starts at home,” he told the Ipoh Echo. Hopefully, this program will help MBI realize its desire to make Ipoh a clean and Prosperous City.

Also present was the Chairman of the Perak State Housing and Local Government Committee, YB Sandrea Ng Shy Ching who in turn officiated the program.
