TAIPING: A total of 16 residents from four families in Kampung Jawa, Sungai Nyior, and Trong were moved to the temporary evacuation centre (TEC) of Surau Nur Nikmat Kampung Sungai Baru last night following flash floods.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department Operations Chief, Senior Fire Officer II, Syful Ezuan Ahmad, said members from the Trong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the location after receiving a report at 11.15 pm.
“The victim’s house was flooded with water more than one meter high following the continuous heavy rain on Saturday afternoon.
“Monitoring operations will be carried out from time to time to ensure the safety of flood victims,” he said at midnight last night.
