IPOH: Malaysia & Satan (M&S) came forward to help SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Perak by distributing more than 5,000 packs of santan (coconut milk) for free.

M&S Managing Director, KC Chung said the initiative implemented with the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP) aims to help Perak SME entrepreneurs who use coconut milk in their food products.

“Through this program, we managed to gather more than 200 food and beverage (F&B) entrepreneurs from the Kinta region.

“This donation of free coconut milk apart from easing their business capital is our support to local entrepreneurs who use coconut milk as the main ingredient in cooking during Ramadan and before Aidilfitri.

“We want to further increase awareness of the benefits of our products in collaboration with STeP and other agencies in the future. We are confident that we can help more local entrepreneurs through programs like this,” he said in a media statement today.

The distribution of the coconut milk packs was officiated by the Chairman of the Women, Family, Community Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee of Perak state, YB Salbiah Mohamed outside the M&S building compound in Silibing this morning.

At the same time, Salbiah had the opportunity to witness the M&S exhibition and inaugurate the Santan Distribution Day program with M&S.
