IPOH: After being delayed for almost two years, the Rumah Lat Gallery in Batu Gajah will be officiated and open its doors to visitors tomorrow.

Sultan Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah agreed to officiate the opening ceremony.

This gallery brings together all the works of the country’s famous cartoonist, Lat or his real name Datuk Mohammad Nor Mohammad Khalid.

The location of this house and gallery is located in the Silverlakes Premium Outlet area which is being developed as an attraction for visitors.

This gallery complex consists of a replica of a traditional Perak wooden house, Rumah Lat, and a gallery.

The replica house was built based on the popular Kampung Boy comic book published in 1979 by Berita Harian.

Most of the items displayed in this house are the original property of the Lat family.

The gallery section displays some of the cartoonist’s chosen works.

The Rumah Lat Gallery is placed under the management of the Lembaga Muzium Negeri Perak.
