Motorcyclist die in an accident in Teluk Intan

TELUK INTAN: A motorcyclist died after being involved in an accident with a Honda City car on Jalan Pintasan Teluk Intan, here late last night.

A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak said they received a call regarding the incident at 11.41pm.

He also said that members of the Teluk Intan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) then rushed to the scene of the incident.

“It was found that an accident between an EX5 type motorcycle and a Honda City car caused the male victim identified as Muhamad Haziriq Saidun, 25, to die at the scene of the incident while the two women from the car did not suffer any injuries.

“As a result of the accident, 85 percent of the victim’s motorcycle was burnt,” he said in a statement today.

He said the fire brigade then extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Abidul Hazman Adam ended at 12.52 midnight.
