TNB worker injured, falls from roof of house in Taiping

TAIPING: A Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) worker was injured in his left leg after falling from the roof of a house in Jalan Simpang, Rumah Murah Batu 2 1/2, here today.

Assistant Director of the Operations Division of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said that it was understood that the 33-year-old victim was doing maintenance work at the house at the time of the incident.

“Firemen received a call regarding the incident at 2.14pm, before members from the Taiping Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the location.

“It is understood that the victim was doing work in the house together with another TNB employee, however the house was unoccupied at the time.

“The man, who is a TNB staff, was found to have fallen from the roof of a one-story house and was lying on the floor,” he said in a statement here.

He further said that the firemen then provided initial treatment to the victim and the victim was then taken to the hospital for follow-up treatment.

The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Ariff Fadzli Yaakub ended at 2.59am.
