Ipoh: Commuters traversing the main road in Station 18 here extend their heartfelt thanks for the consideration shown by the responsible authorities in resurfacing the road.

Previously, the uneven and patched road surface had been a frequent complaint, particularly among motorcyclists.

Food delivery rider Mohamad Asyraff Izzuddin expressed that better road quality is truly pleasing for road users. He, who frequently travels through the road, had once almost encountered an accident due to a pothole.

Another road user, Riduan Syafik, hopes that more poorly maintained roads in the city of Ipoh will be resurfaced to avoid hazards.

“The efforts of the responsible authorities to resurface the road in Station 18 are timely. As users, we don’t know who to complain to about damaged roads, so the authorities should conduct regular inspections,” he said.

Meanwhile, Tebing Tinggi State Assemblyman, Dr. Aziz Bari, informed that the road resurfacing works were carried out for the comfort of the users.

“For your information, the resurfacing works utilize the modified asphalt technology known as ‘cuplump modified asphalt’ (CMA).

“Ipoh City Council member, Ahmad Fariq Walit Ahmad Puad, and the Political Secretary to the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor, Mohamad Norriduan, visited the site together with the Ipoh City Council to inspect the ongoing works,” he explained.
