Yayasan Ipoh to Conduct Early Intervention Training

Yayasan Ipoh (YI) in Bercham will be conducting an Early Intervention Training Programme (EIP) this coming Saturday.

This is the first part of the EIP which is currently available at YI. It teaches the fundamental understanding on how to help participants make detection and start Early Intervention for children who face issues in learning; in order to help them learn, function and survive in their surroundings.

Asked what this programme is about, Dato’ Dr Ramanathan Ramiah (CEO and Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon) explains that it is for developmental issues pertaining to learning in children who face difficulties in learning, and is not just some sort of tuition. Through this session, early childhood educators, care providers, nurses, doctors and parents can learn many strategies for assisting children with developmentally delayed and other conditions to succeed in an inclusive and organic learning environment.

This programme will be conducted by Sumathi Annamalai, an Early Intervention Therapist, and will bring in 20 years worth of experience in Critical Nursing. As well as experience as a PERMATA trainer, lecturer and practitioner.
