Three abandoned vehicles were towed by MPT authorities

TAIPING: Enforcement actions were taken against vehicles left in poor condition and abandoned at Jalan Ciku Road and Jalan Medan Kamunting here.

A total of 3 vehicles have been towed through an integrated operation conducted by the Licensing and Enforcement Department of the Taiping Municipal Council (MPT).

The operation involved 20 MPT enforcers, in collaboration with the Taiping District Police Headquarters (IPD), the Road Transport Department (JPJ), and the Manjung Municipal Council (MPM).

All vehicles were taken to the MPT storage, and owners wishing to make claims must bring proof of ownership.

This operation follows public complaints about these abandoned vehicles, in parking lots and residential areas.

It is an offense under the Road, Drainage, and Building Act 1974 (Act 133), specifically under Section 46 (1) (e).

A fine of up to RM500 may be imposed for the offense.

Therefore, the public is advised to comply with the laws and regulations to avoid facing strict actions.
