IPOH – Canon, a leading global camera technology innovator, is now collaborating with Tourism Perak in conjunction with the Visit Perak Year 2024 (VPY2024) campaign as the official sponsor.
CEO of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa, stated that this strategic collaboration will further strengthen the tourism industry in Perak by leveraging Canon’s technological sophistication.
“This is a joint effort to promote the beauty of Perak’s tourism products through high-quality image recordings.
“The collaboration extends beyond sponsorship, encompassing workshops, competitions, and providing Canon cameras as prizes for upcoming contests and the use of Tourism Perak Management Berhad (TPMB),” she said during a press conference at Lakeview Cafe, Tasik Cermin 2, in conjunction with the signing ceremony between Tourism Perak and Canon Marketing Malaysia on Friday.
The partnership, spanning 12 months, focuses on promoting tourism products in the state. To stimulate creativity and engagement, Canon and Tourism Perak will organize photography and videography contests, along with specialized workshops.
Meanwhile, the President and CEO of Canon Marketing Malaysia, Shunji Yoshikai, expressed their readiness to showcase the allure of Perak to the world.
“Through this collaboration, we aim not only to introduce the beauty of this state but also to make a positive contribution to the community and the environment. This initiative is also a strategic step to attract more global tourists to explore the diverse uniqueness of Perak,” he added.
