IPOH: The State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) organized the Empowerment Course for the Chairman of Village Development and Safety Committee (JPKK) 2024 at the Banquet Hall, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here recently.
The course aims to provide knowledge and requirements as an added value to strengthen the functions and roles of JPKK.
Furthermore, the objective of conducting this course is to cultivate JPKK with a focus on responsibilities in advancing village development.
The program is expected to enhance efficiency in planning suitable programs for villages and play a significant role in engaging the community in national development efforts.
The course, which started at 9 in the morning, began with a briefing session on the JPKK policy by a representative from the Community Division, Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).
Subsequently, the program continued with briefings on the types of assistance by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) and the Main Data System (PADU) by the Department of Statistics Malaysia, Perak State.
The Chief Minister of Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, was present to officiate the program.
