IPOH – The performance by the Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra (KVWO) successfully entertained visitors during the recent Single Reed Night (SRN) event.

The captivating symphony orchestra night, held at Mamut Hall, No.1, Jalan Lasam,  provided an opportunity for young musicians to showcase their skills with two main musical instruments, the clarinet and saxophone.

President of the Kinta Valley Symphonic Society (KVSS), Jeffrey Cheong Kok Yew, stated that SRN was a special night for talented young musicians.

“Their commitment proves that music is not just a branch of art with its own followers, but it is also thriving within the community.

“Through high-quality and energetic performances, it can inspire various ideas while educating and entertaining the public,” he said.

During the event, the Kinta Valley Wind Orchestra (KVWO) performed a total of 10 songs, including I Only Care About You, I Could Have Danced All Night, Memories of Friendship, Jambatan Tamparuli, Yesterday, Spirited Away, Galaxy Express 999, Thread, Amazing Grace, I Will Follow Him and Omens of Love.

KVWO was established in 2010 under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor, Eugene Pook. Since then, the orchestra has become a platform for growth within the community, especially for music enthusiasts.
