The Commitment of Council Members Called Upon to Advance Ipoh City Together

IPOH: A total of 22 newly appointed Ipoh City Council (MBI) councillors took their oath of office during a ceremony held at the MBI Meeting Hall.

The swearing-in ceremony and the reappointment of existing and new council positions were witnessed by Sandrea Ng, the State Executive Councillor for Housing and Local Government Affairs in Perak.

The event proceeded in five groups, with the Mayor of Ipoh, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, leading the swearing-in as a Council Member.

The term of office for both reappointed and newly appointed MBI Council Members is two years, commencing from March 16, 2024, until March 15, 2026.

In her address, Sandrea Ng expressed her hope that all Council Members would play their respective roles effectively. She emphasized the importance of their efforts in assisting MBI in developing Ipoh City in line with its image as the capital of Perak Darul Ridzuan.

She also called for a high level of commitment from the appointed Council Members to advance both Ipoh City and the state of Perak towards prosperity and well-being.
