The residents of GreenAcres Retirement Village had a jamming good time on 20 March, as a group of musicians traveled all the way up from Singapore, to perform the ukulele for the seniors.
The Uke Jammers of ABZ Group – Ageless Bridge Zoomers, were a group who started during the Covid era in 2020, with only 5 people. They now number approximately 100 jammers, all of whom are seniors. During the pandemic era, they could only jam via Zoom, hence the Z on their attire. Ageless Bridge aims to connect all silver haired oldies, engaging them in music to keep empowering those young at heart, with the eldest among them being 87.
Dressed in colourful Hawaiian style attire, they performed for the over 30 residents of GreenAcres who attended, in a lively session with sing-along and dancing.
