IPOH: Four locations for Ramadan bazaars in Perak have been selected as Rahmah Ramadan Bazaars (BRR), offering affordable and reasonable-priced meal options for breaking fast.

The provided meals feature a variety of balanced food menus based on the Rahmah Menu.

These locations are BRR Taman Cempaka Ipoh, BRR Taman Perpaduan Tambun, BRR Taman Silibin Ipoh, and BRR Stadium Majlis Perbandaran Manjung.

Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Fuziah Salleh, stated that the offered prices are 40 percent lower compared to other bazaars.

“Ramadan Bazaar traders need to offer the Rahmah Menu, focus on local community hotspots, and encourage reasonable Rahmah rent rates for traders based on the locality.

“For BBR Taman Cempaka, 71 stalls offer the Rahmah Menu as an additional menu option priced at RM5 and below,” she said.

Earlier, she accompanied the Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, on a walkabout session to inspect the Ramadan Bazaar in Taman Perpaduan here.

At the same time, the Prime Minister also officiated the launching ceremony of MysaveFood at the state level in Perak at BRR Taman Perpaduan, Tambun.

The Malaysia Save Food project aims to promote an effective surplus food management system at Ramadan bazaars in an effort to reduce food waste throughout the month of Ramadan.

Since its implementation from March 14 to 24, a total of 389.66 kilograms (kg) of food and 754.25 kg of beverages have been collected from Taman Cempaka Bazaar, Stadium Indera Mulia Bazaar and Taman Perpaduan Bazaar.

Unsold food and beverages from these hawkers are collected by volunteers and distributed to IPT students, homeless individuals, and those in need.
