Campaign for Education and Awareness on Stray Animals in 9 Schools

IPOH: The Education and Awareness Campaign on Stray Animals was held at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SJKC) Man Ming recently.

The Chairman of the State Housing and Local Government Committee, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, said that the jointly organized program with the Perak State Government, Sin Chew Daily, and Mutts and Mittens has been held in nine schools since August last year.

This series of programmes have been successfully held at nine schools with the attendance of nearly 4,000 students.

“In addition to the sharing by M&M volunteers about stories regarding street animal issues, students were also taught tips for approaching animals and reminders to be responsible pet owners,” she said in a statement on her Facebook recently.

Sandrea said that they hope the issue of stray animals can be addressed through the program.

“Through this continuous effort, we hope that the issue of stray animals can be addressed comprehensively and effectively,” she said.
