QIU HOSTS RAMADAN IFTAR FOR YAYASAN AMANAH AN-NUR MAISARAH CHILDREN

For the second year in a row, Quest International University (QIU) spread the spirit of community and shared blessings during Ramadan by hosting an iftar gathering for children under the care of Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah here today.

Held at AEON Mall Ipoh Klebang, the gathering saw more than 70 children and 12 staff from the home joining in a warm, joyous evening of performances, bonding, and delicious traditional cuisine. The iftar was spearheaded by QIU’s Student Life Division and Gerakan Pengguna Siswa club.

In line with the togetherness reflected during this holy month, QIU was delighted to join hands with the RYTHM Foundation, Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup (KPDN), and AEON Mall Ipoh Klebang to organise the event.

The Ramadan iftar is one of many diverse initiatives spearheaded by the university to support, empower, and create a positive legacy in the local community.

During the event, the youths had a delightful time sharing stories and building connections with QIU’s staff and students, as well as representatives from RYTHMFoundation and KPDN. The night was also educational, as the attendees also received an informative briefing on consumerism from KPDN.

Present to grace the event were QIU Vice-Chancellor Professor Zita Mohd Fahmi, KPDN Perak Director Dato’ Kamalludin Hj Ismail, and QIU Registrar Muhammad MG Omar.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Zita Mohd Fahmi said: “Our founder Dato’ Sri Dr Vijay Eswaran has always envisioned a university that gives back to the community, especially in the place we call home. Events like this help teach our students the importance of reaching out and building connections, so we can help our fellow man.”

“Today’s iftar gathering is a testament to the shared blessings that we reflect on during Ramadan. We truly enjoy forging relationships and memories with the children, who are so bright and talented. The hope is that we can continue making a positive impact on their lives in the future.”
