Majuperak Holdings, Shizen International, collaborate to explore the potential of solar projects in Perak

IPOH: Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Shizen International Inc. (Shizen International) to explore solar projects.

This involves the development of solar photovoltaic projects on land and assessing the potential of suitable water areas for floating photovoltaic projects in the state of Perak.

The collaboration involves preliminary feasibility studies and joint efforts to explore investment opportunities.

The MoU was signed by the Group CEO of MHB, Syed Agil Syed Hashim, and the CEO of Shizen International, Rei Ushikubo.

The ceremony was witnessed by the Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad, and the CEO of Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk), Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak.

According to Syed Agil Syed, the collaboration opens up significant opportunities for Perak.

“We consider Shizen as an ideal partner due to its expertise and proven track record.

“This collaboration promises progress in renewable energy usage and benefits the local population, including job opportunities, technology sharing, and economic prosperity.

“Through collaboration with Shizen Energy Japan, a leading player in the renewable energy sector, we are ready to leverage our combined expertise and resources to promote the use of clean energy technology in this region,” he said.

Shizen International, a subsidiary of Shizen Energy Inc., is actively involved in the development and operation of renewable energy facilities across Asia, Oceania, and Latin America.

This includes wind and solar power plants established since 2020.

The Shizen Energy Group has successfully developed renewable energy capacity of 1,321.7 MW in Japan and internationally.

Shizen Energy Inc. is based in Fukuoka City, which has a twinning relationship with Ipoh, Perak.

Since signing the twinning agreement in 1989, both parties have actively implemented education and cultural exchange programs.
