LUMUT: The residents of 15 houses in Kampung Kedah Sungai Pepuyu, Teluk Senangin, can breathe a sigh of relief as the area is receiving a supply of clean water after a long time.

In addition to the residential homes, a Pondok Al Dakwah Dal Ab-Rar is also receiving a supply of clean water.

Last year, a request for a clean water supply was submitted by the State Legislative Assembly Member for Pangkor, Norhaslinda Zakaria.

She said the effort was made to ensure that residents in this area were not neglected in obtaining a supply of clean water.

“I express my thanks to the parties involved in assisting the smooth process, including the Perak Water Board and the District and Land Office of Manjung and the villagers who cooperated.

“We are grateful that the efforts made previously to obtain the water supply connection request have finally been implemented,” said Norhaslinda.

In the meantime, she also conducted a survey in Kampung Batu 3 Segari to see for herself the area where complaints had been received about blocked drains for so long.

If there is heavy rain, it will flood and emit a foul odor.

“The complainant also mentioned that snakes and monitor lizards often enter his house.

“This issue will be extended to the relevant authorities for further action,” she said.
