School teacher’s room caught fire

SERI ISKANDAR: A teacher’s room at the Al Iklasiyah People’s Religious School near Teluk Sena Village, Lambor Kiri, caught fire on Tuesday evening.

According to the Deputy Director of Operations of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, the incident occurred at 6:49 in the evening.

He said, members from the Seri Iskandar Fire and Rescue Station assisted by Parit rushed to the location.

“The fire involved a 70×15 square meter building of a school, specifically the teacher’s room.

“However, the incident did not involve any injuries or casualties.

“The operations commander conducted a size-up and utilized the RECEO (Rescue, Exposures, Confine the fire, Extinguish, Overhaul) concept with water supply from the fire engine tank until the fire was completely extinguished,” he said in a statement to the media last night.

The operation, led by Senior Fire Officer I, Sazali Abu Bakar, involving eight members, concluded at 7:42 in the evening.
