The ITB China 2024 exhibition, held from May 27 to 29 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, provides a significant opportunity for Tourism Perak to promote the VPY 2024 campaign.

The official launch of the Malaysia Pavilion @ ITB China 2024 was held at the Malaysia Pavilion and officiated by the Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, YBhg Dato Seri Tiong King Sing. The event featured 37 participants, including travel agents, state tourism boards, hotels and resorts, product owners, and airlines.

Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Tourism Perak and Jiangsu Top View Cultural Tourism Development Co., Ltd. The objective of this MOU is to develop the “Perak Discovery: 6 Days 5 Nights of Sceneries and Culture” package, targeting tourists from China.

“This package is offered at around RMB 5000 per person for the 6-day, 5-night trip, excluding flight tickets,” he said in the statement.

He added that participation in ITB China 2024 could foster new partnerships and collaborations, further expanding Perak’s tourism market internationally.

“This is an opportunity for us to showcase Perak’s diverse attractions and cultural richness, which can attract Chinese tourists,” he said.
