Please replace fallen signboards in Pasir Pinji, area is accident prone

By Aida Aziz

IPOH: Two signboards at the intersection of Jalan Queen and Jalan Sultan near Pasir Pinji, which fell due to accidents since late last year, have yet to be replaced.

A complainant, who is a resident of the area, claimed that the complaint had been submitted to the Pasir Pinji Council Member since October, but no action has been taken.

They further stated that the installation of the ‘stop’ sign is crucial as the area is a known accident hotspot.

In fact, photos show that the fallen stop sign and the Jalan Sultan sign have remained in the area for a long time.

“We hope the relevant authorities such as the Ipoh City Council (MBI) and the Council Member will take this complaint seriously.

“Until now, no work has been done to reinstall the fallen signboards.

“This is risky because the intersection of Jalan Sultan and Jalan Queen is a high-accident area.

“This is all for the safety of the public who pass through here, please pay attention to this issue,” the complainant told Ipoh Echo and Peraktastic.
