IPOH: The best crime prevention campaign is when the police go out into the community and meet with the people.
In addition to face-to-face interactions, this approach also helps strengthen the relationship between the police and the community through the exchange of views.
The Aman Wanita (Amanita) team from the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) is no exception, as they conducted a crime prevention campaign at Tasek Cermin, Ipoh.
The campaign aims to strengthen cooperation between the authorities, the community, as well as the private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
This is part of efforts to ensure the safety of the community.
The session also serves as a platform for sharing information and perspectives to improve collective security.
Meanwhile, the Pasir Puteh Police Station also carried out a ground program through the ‘Talk To Us’ initiative at AEON Station 18 shopping mall.
The objective of the ‘Talk to Us’ program is part of the police’s ‘Modern Policing’ initiative.
This program aims to foster and cultivate a spirit of understanding between the police and the community, positioning them as partners in crime prevention.
Through this approach, the community will be more open to sharing information about crimes or reporting suspicious activities in their area.
