IPOH: Graphic design enthusiasts, especially school and college students, should not miss the Graphic Design Exhibition, which will feature the works and creativity of students from the Department of Graphic & Digital Media, UiTM Perak.
The exhibition will showcase the final-year projects of 22 students from the Graphic Design, Advertising Design, and Corporate Design programmes.
The two-day event, starting this Saturday, will take place at AEON Station 18 shopping mall.
REDEFINE 20: SYN2RY is more than just an art exhibition—. It marks the department’s first final-year showcase outside the UiTM Perak campus.
Ahmad Sofiyuddin Mohd Shuib, Coordinator of the Faculty of Creative Arts, Department of Graphic & Digital Media, UiTM Perak, said the exhibition demonstrates students’ creativity, innovation, and fresh approaches to design, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“This event offers an opportunity to gain inspiration from fresh ideas and unique design concepts that may not have been seen before.
“Visitors will experience the spirit of experimentation and boldness in trying new ideas from the REDEFINE 20: SYN2RY students.
“It also serves as an important platform to nurture interest and recognise students’ potential in the creative field, providing a stepping stone for their future careers.
“The exhibition facilitates interaction among students, industry professionals, and art enthusiasts. A Knowledge Transfer programme will also be held, featuring industry panellists and academics,” he said.
Beyond showcasing technical and creative aspects, the exhibition offers a unique cultural and aesthetic experience.
Visitors will be captivated by the innovative exhibition design and visual concepts that bring the students’ works to life.
The event also serves as a platform for students, guests, and visitors to explore ideas, sharpen their creativity, and support the growth of Malaysia’s creative industry.
Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir is expected to officiate the event.
